King, Queens court nominees revealed

The Flushing Homecoming parade is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. this Friday, followed by the game at 7 p.m. As is tradition, the Homecoming King and Queen will not be crowned until halftime, but the Flushing School District has released all names of students nominated to the senior courts.

The Queens Court nominees are Halle Bartlett, Hannah Cox, Allie Degner, Mackenzie Kalfs and Lexie Roberts; in the Kings Court is Alex Bowden, Ben Cushman, Drew Hartley, Rorke Landis and Brad Novess.

The class princesses and princes of the ninth, tenth and eleventh grade have all been revealed prior to the parade: Maya Davis and Reagan Herr for the ninth grade, Josie Willette and Cole Dustan in tenth grade and Kourtney Sari and Khalil McGee in eleventh grade.

The theme for the parade this year is “Through the Decades”. The route will begin at Riverview Park, move on to Cherry Street, left onto Mill Street, right on Main Street, a second right to Hazelton Street and up Hazelton to Coutant Street before finishing at Raider Field.

Parade participants will be informed of their line up positions by phone or email the week of the parade. The FHS Homecoming Dance is on Saturday at 8 p.m.
