Free dental care day!

MUNDY TWP. — Gateway Dental, 5321 Gateway Center Blvd. (off Hill Road east of U.S. 23), will host their annual free dental care day for people with no insurance, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25. Old Newsboys need help

FLINT —The Old Newsboys is in need of volunteers to help with their annual newspaper sale on Friday, Dec. 8. Call 810-744- 1840 to assist with the mission of “Let No Child Be Forgotten!” Must be 18 years or older to captain a corner and or stand on a corner taking donations. The areas that need coverage currently are Flint Township and Flushing. — P.S.

African American film series set

FLINT — Communities First, Inc. has partnered with the Flint Institute of Arts to host the third annual African American Film Series. Reception and live entertainment begin at 5:30 p.m. for each date. The series takes place once a month through February. Currently showing: “The 13th,” a thought-provoking documentary, scholars, activists and politicians analyze the criminalization of African Americans and the U.S. prison boom, Thursday, Dec. 14. Films begin at 7 p.m. Seating is limited to 300. Suggested donation is $2 per person. Following each film, there will be a brief discussion about the themes in the films.
