MADD Genesee County to remember victims of alcohol related crashes

GRAND BLANC TWP. – MADD Genesee County will host its annual Candlelight Vigil of Remembrance and Hope on Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc, 6106 Saginaw Rd. Family members and others affected by alcohol-related crashes are invited to light a candle in honor of a loved one killed or injured in an alcohol-related vehicular crash. A brief video honoring victims will be shown. Anyone who wishes to participate in the candle lighting or to have a loved one included in the video must call 810-953-9854 by Dec. 8. Callers are asked to include a contact phone number and the birth and death dates of the victim. Attendance at the service is NOT required to have a name read and listed in the program. 27th annual Community Dinner

GENESEE TWP. – The Genesee County Bar Foundation and Bar Association 27th Annual Community Holiday Dinner is scheduled for Dec. 21, from 4-7 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 755 S. Saginaw St., downtown Flint. The free dinner will feature a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Children will have their photographs taken with Santa Claus and receive a small gift.
